In evaluation, the stabilized layers considered as sheet reinforcement. The treatment of alternated soil layers by lime indicates an increase in unconfined compressive strength. In addition, and accordingly, the quantity of water needed for stabilization, time and effort of mixing soil with the stabilizer will reduce relatively to the case of fully stabilized soil.
