Keywords : Information hidingStego imageAttacks Abstract :In our realistic world, it becomes necessary not only to keep our data to secret and confident, but also the secret data have to be kept unnoticeable from the outside world except the sender (s) and intended receiver(s). Hence a modern technique is introduced in the digital age, i.e. Steganography . Steganography is art and science of secure information communication where the valuable data is embedded within a cover file(text, audio, image, video and so on)in such a way that the unintended users are totally unaware of the existence of the secret data. The secret data are then transmitted via internet due to rapid growth of internet. The steganography is useful in the field of secure data communications, medical science, military and so on. If the information of medical images are altered intentionally for certain illegal purpose, this may lead wrong diagnosis. Therefore it is necessary to protect the medical images from harmful resources and hence it should remember about the protection of integrity, reliability and confidentiality of the secret data of the medical images. Hence Steganography is required in medical field.
